The Nursery

A huge part of our work at the Medicine Garden is getting people plant starts and seed to grow their own medicine. While medicinal plants are growing in popularity there are still some that are hard to come by. Plus, with our small-scale nursery devoting its energy exclusively to medicinals you can be sure that our plants were properly raised with an eye toward quality medicine and healthy plants. Below you will find a complete list of the plants we are offering in 2025. Note plants with asterisks are unavailable at the moment. Please feel free to contact us for the latest on availability.

To Order Plants: This season, pre-paid orders can be picked up in SE Portland, exact address still tbd. Updates are coming along soon to simplify the process. Seeds can be mailed for a $4 shipping fee. A complete availability list is at the bottom of the page.

Our next PLANT SALE is on Aprill 19th from 10am - 3pm! So many starts will be available! From woodland plants like Black Cohosh and Solomon's Seal, Chinese Medicinals like Codonopsis and Buplerum, NW Natives like Nettles and Oregon Grape and a huge selection of Western medicinals too! Plus this time around we will be on the Farm in Oregon City, so you can see where the babies are born. Medicinal preparations will be on hand, we'll have tea ready and we are so excited to talk plants! The address is 20495A South Geiger Rd.
